Indonesian Society of Genetic Counselors (ISGC) supported by Indonesian Society of Human Genetics (InaSHG).proudly present the eight bimonthly webinar: “CRISPR Gene Editing For The Therapeutic of Inherited Genetic Diseases”.

We were very glad to have Mr. Fatwa Adikusuma, Ph.D, alumni of genetic counseling master program as our speaker in the webinar. He is a Supervisor in CRISPR genome editing technology CRISPR genome editing technology, University of Adelaide Masters of Biotechnology class. As well as Co-founder of Australia Gene Editing Network (AGENt) and Co-inventor of provisional patent application on CRISPR therapy for inherited autosomal-dominant Retinitis Pigmentosa. He shared his valuable knowledge and experience in the field of CRISPR Gene Editing, specifically for which developed and studied for the therapeutics of inherited genetic diseases. He firstly discussed about the basic concepts in gene editing and CRISPR technology.  He presented several CRISPR therapeutics implementations in genetic diseases, such as for DMD, and Retinitis pigmentosa that were studied in his lab.
